LIVE MEETING
Enter the attendees and an hourly cost to start the live counter.
Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to a server.
How to calculate the cost of a meeting
Enter who attends
Use one average hourly cost for everyone, or add a row per role with the number of people and their hourly cost.
Set the length
Enter the planned length in minutes. Add a currency code such as EUR if you want the amounts shown as money.
Estimate or count live
Read the estimate, or press Start when the meeting begins and watch the cost add up second by second.
What to use as the hourly cost
Salary alone understates what an hour costs. Many companies use a loaded rate that also covers social charges, benefits and office costs. Use whatever figure your team agrees on; the calculator only multiplies it.
Making meetings cheaper
The quickest savings come from shorter meetings and fewer people in the room. The weekly figure shows what a recurring meeting adds up to over a year, which is often the number that starts the conversation.
Frequently asked questions
Which currency does it use?
None by default: amounts are plain numbers. Type a three-letter code such as EUR, USD or GBP and the results are shown in that currency, formatted for the language of this page. No exchange rates are involved.
Does the live counter keep running in a background tab?
Yes. It works from the time you pressed Start rather than counting ticks, so the total is right even if the tab is in the background or the screen locks.
Is anything stored or sent?
No. The numbers stay in your browser and are gone when you close the page.
