How to fill in the timesheet
Enter your hours
Each row is a day with a start time, an end time, break minutes and an optional note. Add rows for more days or for a second shift on the same day.
Set the overtime limit
Overtime is the time above your daily hours, 8 unless you change it. Leave the field empty if you don't need it.
Export or print
Download the sheet as a CSV file for Excel, or print it and save it as a PDF from the print dialog.
How the totals are calculated
Each row counts the time from start to end minus the break. Rows with the same date are added up as one day, overtime is worked out per day, and the weekly totals follow ISO weeks from Monday to Sunday.
Night shifts
If the end time is earlier than the start time, the shift is taken to run past midnight: 22:00 to 06:00 counts as eight hours on the day it started.
Frequently asked questions
Is my timesheet saved?
Only if you tick Remember on this device. It's then kept in this browser's storage and nowhere else. Without it, the sheet is gone when you close the page.
Can I see the hours as decimals?
Times are entered as hours and minutes. The totals are shown both ways, for example 7:30 and 7.5 hours, and the CSV file has a decimal column for payroll.
Does it work out overtime pay?
It shows overtime hours. To turn them into pay, use the Overtime Pay Calculator.
