How to export a web table to CSV

  1. Copy the table

On the web page, select the table with your mouse and press Ctrl+C (Cmd+C on a Mac). You can also copy the page's HTML source.

  2. Paste it here

Paste into the input. The table is read from the copied HTML, and you can choose between tables if there are several.

  3. Download the CSV

Download the file and open it in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers.

Why copying beats retyping

Price lists, timetables, statistics and reports are often only published as web tables. Exporting them keeps every value and spares you a page of typing and checking.

Merged cells

Cells that span several rows or columns are repeated in every row and column they cover, so the result stays a regular grid that sorts and filters correctly.

Frequently asked questions

Can I just enter the web address?

Not yet. Browsers don't allow a page to read other websites directly, so copy the table or the page source instead. Nothing is sent anywhere either way.

Why does it say no table was found?

Some sites draw tables with other elements instead of a real HTML table. In that case, copy the page source and check whether it contains <table>.

Will links and formatting be kept?

Only the text of each cell is kept. CSV has no formatting, links or colours.
