How to split a CSV file
Open the file
Drop a .csv file onto the input or paste the data.
Set the size
Enter how many rows each file should have. The header row can be repeated in every file.
Download the parts
Download the files one by one, or all at once as a ZIP.
When splitting helps
Many CRMs, newsletter tools and online forms only accept a few thousand rows per import, and large files are hard to email. Splitting keeps each part within the limit.
Every part stands alone
With the header repeated, each part can be imported on its own. Quoted values with line breaks are never cut in half.
Frequently asked questions
Is the header row counted?
No. The number you enter is data rows; the header is added on top when it is repeated.
How are the files named?
After the original file: data-part-1.csv, data-part-2.csv and so on.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Splitting and the ZIP are created in your browser.
