RESULT

The result appears here as you type.

Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to a server.

How to view a CSV file

  1. Open the file

Drop a .csv file onto the input or paste the data. The delimiter is detected automatically.

  2. Sort and filter

Click a column name to sort by it, click again to reverse. Type in the filter box to show only matching rows.

  3. Check before importing

Spot empty columns, shifted rows and odd characters before the file goes into your system.

Why not just open it in Excel?

Excel changes data as it opens it: leading zeros disappear, long numbers turn into scientific notation and some values become dates. The viewer shows the file exactly as it is.

Large files

The whole file is read, sorted and filtered, and the first 1,000 matching rows are shown at once. Narrow the filter to see the rest.

How are numbers sorted?
