Merge CSV Files

Combine several CSV files into one. Columns are matched by name, so exports with a different column order or extra columns still line up.

INPUT

Add the CSV files you want to merge.

Drop a file here or use Open file.

OUTPUT

Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to a server.

How to merge CSV files

  1. Add the files

Drop several .csv files onto the input or use Open files. Each file's delimiter is detected separately.

  2. Choose how to match

Match columns by name for exports from different systems, or by position for files without headers.

  3. Download the result

Download one CSV with all rows. Optionally add a column that records which file each row came from.

Monthly exports, one file

Reports exported per month, per branch or per sales rep are easier to analyse together. Merging saves you from copying and pasting rows between spreadsheets.

Different columns

When matching by name, every column that appears in any file is included. Rows from files without that column get an empty cell.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a limit to the number of files?

No fixed limit. The files are merged in your browser, so very large sets depend on your device's memory.

Do the files need the same delimiter?

No. Each file is read with its own delimiter, and the result uses the one you choose.

Are my files uploaded?

No. They are read and merged in your browser.
