INPUT

Drop images here

Or use Open images. Your images stay on this device.

OUTPUT

Converted images appear here, ready to download.

Your photos are converted on this device. If your browser can't read HEIC, the open-source decoder (about 2 MB) is downloaded once from jsDelivr.

How to convert HEIC to JPG

  1. Add your photos

Drop HEIC or HEIF files onto the input or use Open images. You can add many at once.

  2. Pick the format

JPG is smallest and works everywhere; PNG keeps every pixel exactly.

  3. Download

Download each photo or all of them as a ZIP.

What is HEIC?

iPhones and many Android phones save photos as HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container), which is about half the size of JPG. Windows, many websites and office programs still can't open it.

How the conversion works

Safari can read HEIC itself. Other browsers use libheif, an open-source decoder that runs on your device; it's downloaded once, about 2 MB.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Photos are decoded and converted on your device. Only the decoder program is downloaded from jsDelivr, a public code CDN; your photos are never sent.

Is the orientation kept?

Yes. The photo is saved the way it's meant to be viewed, so portrait shots stay upright.

What about Live Photos and bursts?

The main still image of each file is converted. The video part of a Live Photo isn't included.
