INPUT
RESULT
Enter something to create a QR code.
Share of the code that can be damaged and still read: L 7%, M 15%, Q 25%, H 30%.
Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to a server.
How to make a QR code
Choose what it holds
Pick Text or link, Wi-Fi, Email, Phone, SMS or Contact, then fill in the fields.
Adjust the code
Set the error correction level, the image size, the quiet zone and the colours. The code updates as you type.
Download and test
Download PNG for documents and screens or SVG for print, and scan it with a phone before you share it.
Which error correction level to pick
Error correction lets a scanner read a code that is partly dirty, damaged or covered. Level L can recover about 7% of the code, M about 15%, Q about 25% and H about 30%. Higher levels make the code denser, so M suits most uses and H is worth it for codes printed small or on rough surfaces.
Colours and the quiet zone
Scanners need dark modules on a light background with clear contrast. Pale or inverted codes fail on many phones, so the tool warns you about them. Keep the quiet zone, the empty border around the code, at least four modules wide when the code sits next to text or images.
Frequently asked questions
Do these QR codes expire?
No. The code contains your text or link directly. Nothing is stored or redirected through a server, so it works as long as the link itself does.
Is anything I enter uploaded?
No. The code is created in your browser, including Wi-Fi passwords and contact details.
Why doesn't my phone join the Wi-Fi network?
Check that the network name and password match exactly, including upper and lower case, and that the security type is right. Most home and office networks use WPA2, which is the WPA setting.
