How to make an email signature

  1. Enter your details

Add your name, job title, company and the contact details you want to share.

  2. Pick a layout

Choose Classic, Side by side or Compact and an accent colour. The preview shows the signature as it will be pasted.

  3. Copy and paste

Click Copy signature and paste it into the signature settings of your email program. If a program needs the source, use Copy HTML.

Built the way email programs like it

Email programs ignore most modern web layout, so the signature is built from simple tables, with the styles written on each element and common system fonts. That's the approach that holds up across the widest range of mail apps.

Adding a logo

A pasted signature can't carry an image from your computer, so the logo has to be online already. Paste the address of an image on your website, starting with https://. The image is loaded from that address for the preview and whenever someone opens your email.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my signature look different in some email programs?

Every program displays email a little differently, and some remove colours or images. Simple layouts with few lines hold up best, so send yourself a test email after setting it up.

Is my information uploaded?

No. The signature is built in your browser. If you add a logo, your browser loads that image from the address you entered.

Where do I paste the signature?

Open the settings of your email program and look for Signature, then paste. If the program only accepts HTML source, use Copy HTML and paste that instead.
