JSON to CSV

Turn a JSON array into a table you can open in Excel or Google Sheets. Nested objects become their own columns, such as address.city.

Delimiter

INPUT

OUTPUT

Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to a server.

How to convert JSON to CSV

  1. Paste the JSON

Paste an API response or open a .json file. It should be an array of objects or an array of arrays.

  2. Pick the delimiter

Comma works almost everywhere. Choose semicolon if your Excel uses a decimal comma.

  3. Download the CSV

Download the file and open it in your spreadsheet. The Excel-compatible option makes sure accented letters display correctly.

How the columns are built

Every key that appears in any object becomes a column, so rows with missing fields simply get an empty cell. Nested objects are flattened with dots, and arrays inside a value are written as JSON text.

Opening the file in Excel

Excel guesses the encoding and the delimiter. A UTF-8 byte order mark tells it the file is UTF-8, and a semicolon delimiter suits Excel set to languages that use a decimal comma.

Frequently asked questions

Why are some cells empty?

Not every object has every key. Columns are the union of all keys, and a cell stays empty when its row has no value for that key.

Can it handle deeply nested JSON?

Yes. Nested objects become columns such as customer.address.city. Arrays are kept as JSON text in one cell, so no data is lost.

Is my JSON sent to a server?

No. The conversion happens in your browser.
