How to convert EPUB to PDF

  1. Open the book

Drop an .epub file. Books protected with DRM can't be opened.

  2. Set up the pages

Choose the page size, margins, font and text size, and whether to add a title page.

  3. Save as PDF

Click Print or save as PDF and pick “Save as PDF” as the printer.

From reflowable text to fixed pages

E-books have no fixed pages; the reading app lays them out for its screen. Here the chapters are laid out for paper in the book's reading order, with the cover or the title and author on the first page, pictures kept, and links within the book removed because a printed page has nowhere to send them.

The book's own styles

The text is set in a clean print layout instead of the book's own styles and embedded fonts, which are designed for screens. Headings, emphasis, lists, tables and quotes are kept.

Frequently asked questions

Is the book uploaded?

No. It's read in your browser, and the PDF is created by your browser's print function.

Why won't my book open?

Books from many shops are protected with DRM, which only the shop's own apps can open. Books without DRM, such as those from Project Gutenberg, work.

How long does a whole novel take?

Reading the book takes a few seconds. The print dialog can need a little longer to prepare a few hundred pages.
